Potential childbirth dangers highlighted ahead of N Ireland abortion ruling

The Court of Appeal in Northern Ireland is set to decide on Thursday whether to overturn a ruling that an abortion ban breaches human rights.

Abortion is a criminal offence in the British province and is not allowed even for rape or incest.

However, some women’s lives may be at risk if forced to carry out births under unfavorable circumstances.
