Students of the American University of #Beirut were seen scuffling with riot police at the university’s main campus in Beirut on Tuesday.
The police were trying to stop the students from storming the building due to the university’s decision to increase tuition fees by 160 percent as a result of the ongoing economic crisis.
“We are here today to ask the administration to not set the new tuition prices of 3,900 Lebanese pounds to one dollar which made tuition fees hike by 160 percent” said one student protester.RT YouTube Channel
