Boris Johnson has warned that a third COVID wave hitting Europe will also affect the UK at some point.

France and Germany have been put into lockdown amid surging COVID-19 cases.

The PM said: ‘People in this country should be under no illusions that previous experience has taught us that when a wave hits our friends, I’m afraid it washes up on our shores as well.’
