Plans to ban all non-electric cars by 2035

The Prime Minister has attempted to cast himself as a world leader on climate change , as he announced that a ban on sales of new petrol, diesel AND hybrid vehicles will be brought forward to 2035.

But that provoked a furious response from the car industry, who accused him of ‘moving the goalposts.’
