South China Morning Post published this video item, entitled “Philippines faces third major typhoon in three weeks while still reeling from deadly storm Goni” – below is their description.
The Philippines is facing its third typhoon in as many weeks as Typhoon Vamco made landfall on the night of November 11, 2020, causing floods and landslides and killing at least one person. Vamco arrived just over a week after Super Typhoon Goni swept across the island of Luzon. Goni, locally known as Rolly, was the world’s strongest typhoon so far in 2020. The November 1 storm was blamed for at least 20 deaths and US$369 million worth of damage. The UN has appealed US$45.5 million in relief funds to help some 260,000 affected people in the eastern Catanduanes and central Albay provinces. Support us: https://subscribe.scmp.com
