Philippines: Civilians caught in Marawi fighting

Fighting continues in the southern Philippines, two months after the ISIL-affiliated Maute armed group took control of parts of Marawi City.

The Philippine military says more than 100 soldiers have died, while almost 500 fighters have been killed.

But questions remain about the number of civilian casualties.

Al Jazeera’s Jamela Alindogan reports from Iligan City.
