During World War II, #Japanese troops committed atrocities in many countries in Southeast Asia. There’s a museum in the Batanes province of the #Philippines, which records crimes committed by Japanese troops during the war. Edna Bautista Binkowski, a historian there, told us the Japanese forced prisoners of war to walk 120 kilometers to Camp O’Donnell and refused to provide food and water. Over 15,000 people died on the way to the camp. Known as the Death March, it’s widely regarded as one of the worst abuses of captives in World War II.
