TV presenter Phillip Schofield has revealed he is gay following “heartbreaking conversations” with his family.
The This Morning host, who has been married for nearly 27 years, made the announcement in a message posted on Instagram.
Schofield said he has struggled to come to terms with his sexuality for a “very long time”, but now feels “brave” enough to share the news.
He said speaking to people about it had “brought him back from some dark places”, adding: “Sometimes talking to people saves you.”
