Twenty-seven-year-old Walter Wallace was shot to death by two police officers on Monday after he did not heed an order to back off and drop a knife he was carrying. Protesters took to the streets on Monday night after a bystander’s video of the shooting was shared on social media. The demonstrations turned violent, with local businesses damaged and more than 90 people arrested.
