Residents of Chiclayo, Peru, have taken part in a campaign aimed at containing an oil spill caused by the Tonga volcano eruption. The hair that they are willing to sacrifice at various pop-up hairdressers’ stations, as well as their pets’ hair, if donated, will be used for creating nets to contain the spill and prevent additional contamination.
