Hundreds of thousands of people are being tested for Covid-19 after the northern city of Manzhouli became the centre of the country’s latest outbreak. On the fourth consecutive days of testing, people queued in the snow on November 30, 2021, in the city near the Russian border in China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region. Manzhouli had reported 142 confirmed cases over a five-day period as of December 1, according to China’s National Health Commission.
