Pelosi Hopes Democrats Can Work With White House on Police Reform Bill

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said she hopes Democrats can work with the White House on action to improve police practices in response to massive protests over the killing of George Floyd. At her weekly news conference on Thursday, Pelosi touted the House’s new “Justice in Policing Act” that would ban chokeholds, end qualified immunity for police, combat racial profiling, mandate data collection, dash-cams & body cameras, and pass the House’s anti-lynching bill.
