Parents in rural & remote areas are concerned their kids will be left behind in schooling | ABC News

Boarding school students from remote cattle stations will be home-schooling for the foreseeable future. Unlike kids on the east coast, getting them back to school involves a $1000 return flight or a two day drive, which is hardly feasible for part of the term. The home-schooling has raised concerns about connectivity, which they struggle with at the best of times. But most of them are taking it in their stride and the weekends are likely to be spent mustering and riding horses.
