Paralympics: the rise of Boccia

It was played in ancient Greece, throughout the Middle Ages – and some say Sir Francis Drake was having a go at it when the Spanish Armada sailed into view. Boccia has been described as the earliest game ever played: it’s got echoes of bowls, snooker and even darts. It’s now one of the fastest-growing Paralympic Sports. Our Sports reporter Jordan Jarrett-Bryan has been to meet some of Britain’s players as they prepare for the Rio games.
