In a few haunting notes, his film scores captured the essence of a movie like no one else’s could.
Now at the age of 91, Ennio Morricone, the maestro who wrote the music for more than 400 different films has died.
His theme tune for The Good the Bad and the Ugly defined what a western film should sound like.
One director said his music could turn an average film into a must see movie.
