The Queensland Opposition has slammed Annastacia Palaszczuk MP for her plans to attend the Tokyo 2020 Opening Ceremony, after promising she would not be attending any Olympic events while in Japan.

The Premier told Sunrise this morning that she will be attending the event because she is “not going to offend anyone from the International Olympic Committee” after Brisbane’s successful bid for the 2032 Games.

“I have served in Parliament with the Premier for 13 years. I know arrogance when I see it, and this is the epitome of arrogance from the Premier.” – Shadow Finance Minister Jarrod Bleijie.
