Global News published this video item, entitled “Ontario Premier Ford says students won’t return to in-class learning until fall | FULL” – below is their description.
Ontario Premier Doug Ford announced Wednesday that schools in the province would not be returning to in-class learning until in the fall.
His announcement comes as the stay-at-home order put in place in April lifts for the province, but most public health measures remain in place. This includes outdoor gathering limits set at five people maximum and restrictions on in-person retail and other businesses.
Ford was facing increasing pressure to announce whether schools will return to in-person learning, as the province remains the only one with all students learning remotely. They have been doing online learning since April 19.
The province is aiming to start reopening the economy later this month with looser rules on businesses and outdoor activities.
