Ontario not considering COVID-19 vaccine passports, won’t mandate vaccines for health workers

Global News published this video item, entitled “Ontario not considering COVID-19 vaccine passports, won’t mandate vaccines for health workers” – below is their description.

Ontario Premier Doug Ford said on Thursday his government was not considering implementing vaccine passports, adding that the receipts given out at the time of vaccination were proof enough of vaccination status.

Ford said he would also not require health-care workers to be vaccinated against COVID-19, adding that it was “their right” to choose whether to get the shot.

“No one should be forced to do anything,” he said.

Ford added it is up to the federal government to decide whether to necessitate proof of vaccination for those travelling between provinces.
