In the UK, a new study has found that the chances of becoming infected by covid fell sharply after a first dose of either the AstraZeneca or Pfizer vaccines. Which is good news for more than 33 million people who’ve received at least one dose of a vaccine – which is half the population. Associate professor in the school of pharmacy at the university of reading, Dr Alexander Edwards says it reminds us that just because you’ve had the vaccine it doesn’t mean you won’t get infected.
