One person has died and at least 40 others have been injured after high winds caused parts of a stage to collapse at Medusa Festival in Cullera, Spain.

Spain’s meteorological agency reported gusts of winds exceeding 50mph in the country’s eastern coastal region at the time.

Footage shared on social media shows strong winds and some people appearing to panic.

The electronic music festival, which was due to continue until Sunday, has now been suspended.
