Now, gaining entry to Turkey, even when individuals are seeking asylum, has become increasingly difficult – with many travelling illegally, forced to journey across treacherous landscapes
Anushka Asthana headed to the border of Turkey and Iran, the so-called ‘gateway to Europe’, to meet those protecting it, and those risking it all to get across.
