Nutrition information systems: bridging information gaps in five countries

World Health Organization (WHO) published this video item, entitled “Nutrition information systems: bridging information gaps in five countries” – below is their description.

Nutrition is an essential part of health and development. It’s linked to better infant, child and maternal health, a lower risk of disease, and a longer life expectancy. And a strong nutrition data system can help countries make strong choices; allocating resources where they’re needed and monitoring national nutrition progress. But there are still data gaps to be addressed.

UNICEF, WHO and the European Union as the main donor are working together to improve nutrition data systems in five target countries: Côte d’Ivoire, Ethiopia, Laos, Uganda and Zambia. This video presents project implementation in Uganda.
