Nurmamat, a young man from northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, loves football and had been practicing it on his village’s roads since he was a child. Being gifted at volleys, he nicknamed himself the “Flying Leg.” Nurmamat was scouted by Xinjiang Tianshan Leopard FC after a video of him went viral online. He scored a goal in his professional debut.
