New South Wales Health is investigating another potential case of the new COVID variant, Omicron – bringing the country’s total to 7 cases.

The infected man is aged in his 40s and had spent 6 months in Nigeria. He flew into Sydney on Thursday and has been residing in Cabramatta.

“We believe that it’s likely that it will be confirmed later this afternoon as a definite Omicron case“ – Brad Hazzard – NSW Health Minister.
