NSW has recorded another 233 cases of COVID as the total number of cases in the outbreak soars past 4000. Of the new cases confirmed on Wednesday, at least 68 were in the community for all or part of their infectious period.

Premier Gladys Berejiklian confirmed a man in his 20s died from the virus at home. He was unvaccinated. A woman aged in her 80s also died. The result comes after more than 105,000 people came forward for testing.
