NSW COVID-19: A grim milestone in New South Wales – our deadliest day yet. 18 people lost their lives, which surpasses the previous record of 16 deaths set just yesterday.

One of today’s deaths was a child aged under 5 who died at home in south-west Sydney and did have significant underlying health conditions.

Alarmingly, the NSW hospitalisation rate has also increased, with 2,030 people admitted – an increase of more than 100 from yesterday. 159 people are in intensive care, that’s also up.
