7NEWS Australia published this video item, entitled “NSW bought Camellia land that was overpriced and full of poisonous chemicals | 7NEWS” – below is their description.

A damning report has slammed the Transport for NSW over a shocking land deal which has so far cost taxpayers $160 million.

Not only is the site overpriced, it’s full of poisonous chemicals.

It slams Transport for NSW over a $53.5 million deal to by contaminated land at Camellia.

The report found no valuation was carried out before the purchase of the site that was later valued at just $25 million.

Department staff didn’t have approval for the purchase. Decision making was rushed. And the possibility of misconduct or corruption couldn’t be ruled out.

“I’m furious and disgusted at this…What’s gone on here is bloody unacceptable” – Transport Minister Andrew Constance MP.
