Nova Scotia’s chief medical officer of health Dr. Robert Strang said that a backlog in COVID-19 testing and data entry is almost cleared, as he reported 121 new COVID-19 infections on Monday.
Strang made the comments during a briefing alongside Premier Iain Rankin on Monday.
Rankin added that there are signs the province’s lockdown measures are working.
“That number is still high, but obviously it’s starting to look a little better,” he said.
Since Sunday, another eight people have been hospitalized with COVID-19. There are no 58 people in hospital and nine are in the ICU.
