Notting Hill Carnival moves online for the first time in history

Notting Hill Carnival Ltd. CEO Matthew Phillips explains how Europe’s largest street party is moving online for the first time due to current Covid-19 restrictions.

For the last month, organisers have been filming hundreds of acts to be streamed online over the Bank Holiday weekend, from sound system’s pioneers of the carnival to calypso dance performers.

They aim to ‘bring people together in times of adversity’ – the reason Carnival was set up in the first place.
