President Emmanuel Macron set a deadline to reopen Notre Dame by 2024. Yet with only three years to go, most renovations of the historic monument are yet to start. FRANCE 24 ‘s senior reporter Catherine Norris-Trent says workers have spent much of the last two years removing the scaffolding that was in place when the fire took hold. The plan is to rebuild the cathedral as it was in the 19th century.
