South China Morning Post published this video item, entitled “North and South Korea restore communication and military hotline after 2 months of silence” – below is their description.
South Korea’s Ministry of Unification said officials from North Korea and South Korea spoke on the phone on the morning of October 4, 2021, their first such communication since August. The call was made possible by the restoration of a hotline between the two Koreas, which political analysts described as a step in the right direction and a signal that frosty relations between Pyongyang and Seoul could be about to warm up.
