No jab, no job: Italy’s over-50 prohibited from working without vaccination

Al Jazeera English published this video item, entitled “No jab, no job: Italy’s over-50 prohibited from working without vaccination” – below is their description.

Italians over the age of 50 who have not been vaccinated against COVID-19 are now banned from going to work.

Although Italy has a nearly 90 percent vaccination rate, the government says it is necessary to encourage as many people in higher-risk age groups to get vaccinated.

But hundreds of thousands of people are choosing not to get the shot, no matter the cost.

Al Jazeera’s Adam Raney reports from Rome, Italy.
