No 10 must look at hiring process after Andrew Sabinsky ‘racism’ row, says Kwesi Kwarteng

The Telegraph reported on a racism row currently bubbling at the heart of 10 Downing Street, UK:

The Government’s hiring process has to be “looked at” in order to prevent “racists” from working in Number 10, Kwasi Kwarteng has said.

The energy minister said comments made about eugenics by Andrew Sabisky, a Downing Street adviser, were “reprehensible” and “racist”.

“The comments were completely reprehensible. They were racist, offensive remarks and he’s now left very quickly and that’s the end of the matter,” Mr Kwarteng said.

Andrew Sabisky was at the time of publication an adviser – known as special advisors or “SpAds” – who worked under the British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson.
