Workers at a Nissan factory in Barcelona burnt tyres and blocked roads in protest at the plant being shut down.
The Japanese car firm will close the plant in December as they move to cut costs and boost profits following disruption caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
Around 3,000 jobs will be lost and unions say a further 25,000 jobs could be indirectly affected.
This comes as Spain struggles with growing unemployment caused by the pandemic.
