The First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said measures to allow more people to meet outside had been brought in sooner than initially planned to boost people’s mental health.
People will be allowed to meet in groups of up to six adults from six households in outdoor settings from Friday, while requirements to stay local lifted.
It is expected that shops, pubs and restaurants will start to reopen from April 26, while people may be able to meet indoors in mid May.
