Nicola Sturgeon has announced that 11 council areas, including Glasgow, will go into her highest tier of restrictions from Friday, the equivalent of almost full lockdown apart from schools staying open. She told the Scottish Parliament: “The council areas that will move to level 4 for a limited period from Friday are: the City of Glasgow, Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire, East Dunbartonshire, West Dunbartonshire, North Lanarkshire, South Lanarkshire, East Ayrshire, South Ayrshire, Stirling and West Lothian.
