New York Nurse Sandra Lindsay, who was the first in the U.S. to get the Pfizer and BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine, gets a booster shot on Monday, January 4, 2020, 21 days after her first inoculation.

Dr. Michelle Chester administered the shot at New York’s Long Island Jewish Medical Center. The rollout of the Pfizer and BioNTech vaccine, the first to be approved by the Food and Drug Administration, ushers in the biggest vaccination effort in U.S. history.
