New US sanctions target eight senior Iranian officials

In a joint news conference with United States Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Secretary of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin said the 17 new sanctions will cost Tehran billions of dollars.
Pompeo also announced sanctions that would hit eight senior officials and would cripple Iran’s internal security system.
