This year marks the sixth anniversary of the Shanghai-based NDB, the New Development Bank. Since 2015, the lender has thrown a lifeline to BRICS member states, and other nations in dire need. A few days ago, NDB announced that it would issue three-year bonds worth $2.25 billion dollars to raise funds for aid amid the pandemic. How well has the NDB carried out its mission to help economies in distress and shore up global cooperation? CGTN’s Tian Wei speaks to Leslie Maasdorp, the NDB Vice President.
