More than a month after cracks derailed the Inner West Light Rail Line, the state government says that they’re now testing the use of the more modern Eastern Suburbs light rail carriages as public transport solution.
“We need to see, firstly, that it’s safe to run for a passenger service and secondly, that it’s efficient, that is, can the speeds be achieved to make sure that the service can be reliable and efficient?” – NSW Transport Minister Rob Stokes.
