A lot of people eat when they’re down in the dumps but unsurprisingly it seems chocolate, cake and biscuits are not the best medicine.

Instead, new Australian research suggests the diet enjoyed by Greeks, Italians and other Mediterranean people will not only make us healthier but much happier.

Known to be good for the body now new evidence a Mediterranean diet can also be good for the mind.

Jessica Bayes has been testing it on a group of younger men suffering moderate to severe depression.
