Netanyahu calls to establish “stable government” after 4th election leaves future uncertain

Global News published this video item, entitled “Netanyahu calls to establish “stable government” after 4th election leaves future uncertain” – below is their description.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called for the establishment of a “stable government” on Wednesday after the country’s fourth election in two years projected yet another stalemate.

Initial projections by the country’s three main TV channels after Tuesday’s voting gave Netanyahu, leader of the right-wing Likud party, an edge, based on the potential support of rival Naftali Bennett, who was once his defence minister. But amended forecasts indicated deadlock even with Bennett’s prospective backing, with a parliament equally divided between Netanyahu’s likely opponents and supporters.

Bennett, who could still be the possible kingmaker after the election, said on Tuesday that he would do what was best for Israel.
