NATO to discuss increasing troops in Afghanistan

Chancellor Angela Merkel has ruled out sending any more German troops to bolster NATO’s forces in Afghanistan.

She’s met the alliance’s chief Jens Stoltenberg in Berlin.

NATO is considering a request from the Afghan government, and its commanders on the ground, to increase its military presence.
