NASA has launched its Lucy spacecraft on a 12-year journey to explore asteroids in Jupiter’s orbit. The mission is the first of its kind and aims to gather new information about the formation of the solar system. Lucy is the first solar-powered spacecraft to venture so far from the Sun, and will explore more asteroids than any other probe.
