Scientists and engineers operating NASA’s James Webb Telescope are set to answer questions Monday as it reaches its final destination, a point about 1.6 million kilometres from Earth.
The world’s largest and most powerful telescope has been hurtling toward its destination since its launch on Christmas Day, on a quest to behold light from the first stars and galaxies and search the universe for signs of life.
NASA partnered with the European and Canadian space agencies to build and launch the new seven-ton telescope, with thousands of people from 29 countries working on it since the 1990s.

Just a question about the James Webb Telescope -If the telescope is mounted parallel to the sunshield and the sunshield needs to be facing towards the sun, doesn’t this limit the view of the telescope? Congratulations for a job well done on this instrument !
