    House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has expressed skepticism over the US government’s national intelligence director, John Ratcliffe, accusing Iran of being behind threatening but fake emails sent to voters. Pelosi pointed the finger firmly at Russia’s involvement, after Ratcliffe and the FBI confirmed Moscow and Tehran had obtained voter data. ‘Russia is the villain here. From what we have seen in the public domain, Iran is a bad actor, but in no way equivalent,’ Pelosi said. ‘And they always try to try to find some equivalence to protect their friend, Russia.’ Pelosi also criticised the message coming from Ratcliffe in the hastily organised press conference for giving the impression people should be afraid to vote ahead of the upcoming election Russia and Iran obtained US voter data in bid to sow unrest before election, FBI warns
