Azerbaijan’s forces shelled Armenian targets on Wednesday near the front line of the fighting over Nagorno-Karabakh as the conflict entered its 11th day of violence. Buildings and vehicles in the Azeri city of Barda were also heavily damaged by shelling that had been carried out by Armenian forces earlier. There is international concern about the fighting and its potential impact on stability in the South Caucasus, where pipelines carry Azeri oil and gas to world markets.
