Azerbaijan has accused Armenian forces of shelling its second city of Ganja, killing at least one civilian and injuring others. It’s the latest escalation between the two former Soviet republics, over the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region, which is officially part of Azerbaijan but run by ethnic Armenians. Armenia has denied the attack on Ganja. But the leader of Nagorno-Karabakh says his forces hit the city’s military airbase in retaliation.
