Nadhim Zahawi says the relationship between the UK and US will remain special, whoever wins the US election.
The business minister refused to comment on Donald Trump’s claims that the vote is being rigged and said both the current president and rival Joe Biden were “excellent” candidates for the job.
He also defended the chancellor’s U-turn over the extension of the furlough scheme to help people unable to work due to the Covid-19 pandemic – and said mass testing in Liverpool will hopefully get the virus under control in the city.

Voting is a method for a group, such as a meeting or an electorate, in order to make a collective decision or express an opinion usually following discussions, debates or election campaigns. Democracies elect holders of high office by voting. Residents of a place represented by an elected official are called “constituents”, and those constituents who cast a ballot for their chosen candidate are called “voters”.
