South China Morning Post published this video item, entitled “Myanmar’s military coup raises uncertainty over repatriation of Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh” – below is their description.
Some Rohingya refugees now living in exile after fleeing violence in Myanmar have condemned the nation’s recent military coup. On February 1, 2021, the Myanmar army detained the country’s democratically elected leader Aung San Suu Kyi and several other senior figures from the ruling party. The coup has created uncertainty about whether the millions of Rohingya refugees who have fled to Bangladesh will be able to return to Myanmar.
